Specifications

  • Supports a flow velocity now up to 30 m/s, maximum air-flow in the same direction as the explosion.
  • The valve can be placed directly upstream or downstream of pipe bends in the pipeline, offering significant advantages in plant design.
  • Equipped with full integrated mechanics, the locking and switch actuation are integrated into the “star” assembly.
  • Can withstand temperatures up to 300°C, catering to higher temperature environments.
  • Fitted with a valve poppet gasket recessed into a pocket in the housing and locked into place, guarantees reliability.
  • Certified for Metallic dust explosions to sizes up to DN400

Rico Ventex Esi Type 6 Isolation Valve

The VENTEX® ESI Type 6 is an explosion isolation valve designed to stop explosion propagation through pipelines. The explosion pressure surge in a pipeline is sensed by explosion pressure and with this highly sophisticated safety device, the piping system is immediately closed off, thus preventing the flame and the pressure wave from spreading into other areas of the installation. The VENTEX® ESI Type 6 is approved for use in potentially explosive atmospheres of different types.

  • Available in both mild steel and stainless steel to match various industrial demands.
  • Versatile orientation with horizontal, vertical, single acting, and double acting options.
  • Including VENTEX ESI-E for explosions from top and bottom, and VENTEX ESI-D with a double-acting check valve feature.
  • Supports a flow velocity up to25 m/s, maximum air-flow in the same direction as the explosion.
  • Up to 35 m/s in the direction opposite the explosion helps maintain operation with high volumetric flow rates.
  • Range from DN100 to DN600 accommodating a broad spectrum of pipe sizes.
  • Capable of handling minimum and maximum explosion pressures tailored to the material type, from organic dust to hybrid mixtures and metallic dust.
