Advanced Couplings – Safety Clamps
CMC Technologies provides an extensive range of advanced coupling safety clamps in carbon steel, cast and stainless-steel materials. To enable smooth operation, our Safety Clamps have been fitted with a patented anti-galling feature. Our SH Style Safety Clamp is an innovative new clamp based on our already popular SH Clamp for enhancing operator safety when using hazardous and high temperature process lines. For easy line identification within a system, the Wing Nut on our Tri-Clamp® Sanitary Clamp Safety Clamps can, on request, be supplied in any colour coding.
SAF SH Type Safety Clamps
- Material: 316/1.4401
- Application: Normal / Heavy Duty
- Safety Feature: Safety Gate & Eye-Bolt
- Patented – 7.883.121, 125175, 1693609
- All Safety Clamps are available with an anti gall option
- The ‘gate’ style section combined with the stepped eyebolt prevents swinging open during assembly.
- The clamp can only be released when the wing nut is significantly loosened.
- This allows the smaller diameter of the eyebolt to swing through the gate.
- It ensures the clamp cannot be accidentally opened or knocked.
- Complete wing-nut removal is not required to open the clamp.
- The eyebolt remains secured under clamping forces or internal pressures.
- Wing-nut rotations are measured from the optimal clamping position.
- One rotation equals 360°.

- This prevents unauthorized tampering or accidental release of the piping line.

- Clamping Mechanism: Optimal starting position indicated by parallel segments when assembled and Eyebolt releases after one complete nut rotation (360°)
