Rupture Disc Holders for Easy Inspection Without Disc Replacement

The pretorque and semi pretorque designs allow the customer to apply torque in the workshop via the cap screws on the holder. The holder can then be installed on the process using only the sealing torque on the flanges.

When it is time to inspect the rupture disc assembly, the customer can use the pretorque or semi pretorque design to:

  • release the sealing torque on the flanges
  • remove the sealing gaskets
  • remove the entire assembly
  • inspect and clean it
  • reinstall it without replacing the bursting disc

If this is done with an insert holder, the disc must be replaced because the disc will not reseal if the sealing torque on the flanges is released.

Pre-Torqued Holders

FDC pre-torque type holders allow the assembly to be removed for inspection and reinstallation without affecting seal integrity, using the built-in cap screws.

The FS(PT) full faced design has additional bolt holes corresponding to the flanges, which makes it easier to secure and install.

The FS(SPT) design makes removal of the assembly easier.

A pre-torqued holder also has pre-torque bolts or guiding holes, which allow for easier installation and better aligned seating. One disc is also pre-assembled into the holder.

Flat Seat Insert Type Holder

Flat Seat Insert Type Holder has also been known as it is the most cost effective option from FDC.

This type is suitable when the main requirement is a cost-effective rupture disc holder solution.
