Advanced Couplings manufactures ferrules in accordance with the relevant British and European standards, as itemised in the detailed ferrule section. Ferrules are produced by turning from 316L (ASTM A240-78) or 316S11 (BS970 PART 1: 1983) both low sulphur grades offering good weld ability stainless steel bar stock.

The surface finish is equal to or more often better than those quoted in the relevant standards. Ferrules are also available with enhanced surface finish to 0.38 um Ra, this being achieved by electro polishing, (also providing a passivated layer to the ferrule).
