How METAGLAS® Is Different

METAGLAS® is manufactured by melting circular glass inside a metal frame, permanently fusing the glass and metal together.

As the assembly cools, controlled thermal expansion creates a uniform compressive stress throughout the glass. This mechanically prestressed structure makes METAGLAS® the strongest and most secure sight glass available.
